Founded May 4, 2019 that aims to provide a platform and network system for sharing of information, ideas, and issues that is related to the work; identify and facilitate professional development and support; encourage linkages with the academic scientific community by establishing professional relationship and collaboration with other schools, government agencies, industry sector and laboratory suppliers, and; promote the best and safest laboratory practices.

The Logo
The logo comprises the gear which signifies “competency”; tree and leaves with human-shaped branches signifies the society’s growth and development through sharing of ideas, and; microscope with test tube signifies the academic laboratories.
The color blue represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meaning of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence.

Regulatory Compliance: An Overview

The Philippine Society of Academic Laboratory Technicians, Inc. (PSALT) held its Webinar Series A Response To The Call For Safer Science Laboratories, with the theme “Regulatory Compliance: An Overview“ last August 13, 2022 (Saturday), from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm via Zoom. The webinar series aimed to impart knowledge in government mandatory requirements for academic science laboratories.

The Philippine Society of Academic Laboratory Technicians, with the perseverance of the board of trustees, was finally granted certification of incorporation by the Republic of the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission last June 1, 2021.
